Medicinal Plants On Our Land

When we moved onto this land the previous owner offered to give us a tour of the perennial gardens she had put in. Her focus was mainly plants for birds, pollinators, and a visually appealing landscape. As she pointed out what plants we could expect to see it turned out there were a number of medicinal and edible plants. We were happy to find quite a few At-Risk plants in the gardens and woodland areas. Each year we have added new garden beds and a wide variety of edible and medicinal plants and are sort of turning our land into a private botanical sanctuary.

I thought I’d make a list of all the plants we are growing, both to share with you and as an easy reference for us. I’m sure this list will grow as we grow more plants, so check back if you are interested. This list is mainly medicinal plants as well as some culinary herbs, fruit, and trees which also have medicinal values on some level.
